Awkwafina

Awkwafina has been described as an American performer and actor who was first noticed for her clever rappers, which explored issues of race and sexual identities from a boldly comic perspective. Her career then grew to Hollywood. The actress was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants from Forest Hills Queens her first experience with music came with the trumpet. In the following years, she took up traditional and hip-hop training. As a student, she studied journalism as well as women's studies in college even learning Mandarin in Beijing for a short time. After graduating, she began to focus on music. After making headlines via the Internet the My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually was included on her album debut Yellow Ranger. The album also included viral hits such as the body-positive Queef or her wink-inducing hometown tour the city of New York Bitche$. It was also included as part of Awkwafina's NYC tour guide that was released in 2015. As a musician and an author on her resume she determined to pursue an actor for a third venture. Along with the early TV shows such as Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in movies such as Neighbors to Storks. In 2018 she scored breakout role in a few prominent films such as Dude ocean's 8.8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP premiered in June.
